Software Update: EventPro Planner Version 2.4.1.532

Your time is valuable, and you want to make the most of every working minute. The new update for EventPro Planner, Version 2.4.1.532, is packed with new features that will help you work more efficiently and save time.

To download the update, log in to the Support website and click on the Downloads tab. Choose the EventPro Planner Install 2.4.1.532 link. Remember that you need a current Upgrade Protection Plan to access software updates. System Settings

Attendees

  • All system settings applicable to Attendees have been moved to the new Attendees tab in System Settings
  • The new 'Update Attendee Arrival/Departure Date From' setting allows you to choose whether you want Attendee Arrival/Departure Dates updated from Accommodation and Travel records, and whether Accommodation or Travel dates should be used first
  • The new 'New Record Prompt' setting under Attendee Accommodations allows you to choose whether you want the Accommodation Type prompt to appear, and whether it should default to Open or Reservation
  • The new 'Expand Registration Groups by Default' setting allows you to indicate whether you want Registration Groups in the Registration Item Selection window expanded by default
  • The new 'Overbooked Dialog' setting allows you to choose when or whether you want the Overbooked Functions dialog to appear when saving Attendee Registrations

Communications

  • Mail Merge Settings have been moved to the Communications tab of System Settings

Contacts

  • The 'Use Company Wizard' and 'Use Contact Wizard' settings allow you choose whether you want to use the new Company or Contact Wizards when adding new companies or contacts

Event Organization

Organization Calendar

  • Locations and Venues on the Organization Calendar can now be re-arranged and hidden, and these settings can be saved as templates
  • Adding a Location to the Organization Calendar more than once on one day will now create only one column with the relevant times highlighted, instead of a separate column for each time
  • Function usage listings (Date/Time/Location) are displayed below the functions on the sidebar of the Organization Calendar. Double-clicking on a function usage will move the Organization Calendar to that function.
  • Resource usage listings (Date/Time/Location) are displayed below the resources on the sidebar of the Organization Calendar. Double-clicking on a resource usage will move the Organization Calendar to the function using the resource.
  • Functions can now be added by right-clicking on the Organization Calendar and selecting the 'New Function' option
  • Function Attendees can be viewed on the Organization Calendar by right-clicking on a function and selecting the 'Function Attendees' option. It is possible to register Attendees from the Function Attendees window if the function belongs to only one Registration Group.

Event Function Edit

  • In the Event Function Edit form, you can now choose an existing function or add a new one
  • The Event Function Edit form now displays the Booked From/To Times of the selected Location
  • You can now change the date of a Function from the Event Function Edit form
  • Attendee Assignments and Function Attendees detail viewing grids have been added to the Event Function Edit form
  • You can mail merge function attendees from the Function Attendees grid in the Event Function Edit form

Function Attendees

  • You can now mail merge Function Attendees from the Calendar, Detail and Function views of the Organization tab

Function Itinerary

  • Function Itinerary Notes have been moved to the General tab of the Edit form

Organization Views and Settings

  • A 'Show All Days' option has been added to the Detail and Function View of Event Organization
  • A 'Search' box has been added to the Function View of Event Organization
  • Organization Calendar Settings are now accessible by right-clicking in the Organization Calendar

Attendees

  • The Finance tab for Attendees now contains a Charge Summary

Attendee Registration

  • Registration Groups on the Registration Item Selection window can now be expanded and collapsed
  • A new Overbooked Functions dialog that appears when you save Attendee Registrations informs you of any functions that have been overbooked
  • A new prompt will warn you if the Maximum Attendance for a Function will be exceeded by the Attendee Registration you are about to save
  • The new Charge Summary can be displayed upon saving an attendee's Registration
  • Attendee Function Registrations can now be imported from external export files

Tables and Seating

  • You can now add new Attendees and Guests from the Event Function Seating screen
  • You no longer need to hold the Ctrl key while dragging and dropping attendees to seats and tables in the Event Function Seating screen

Actions

  • The Event Name column has been added to applicable Action grids

Companies/Contacts

  • You can now create new companies or contacts using Company and Contact Wizards

Communications

  • Email support for Gmail has been added. Method: SMTP. Host Name: smtp.gmail.com. Port: 587. Authentication: Login.

Importing

  • You can now import using Microsoft Excel .xlsx files

Fixes

  • Various access violation errors have been fixed
  • The 'Title' drop-down continued off the screen if too many titles existed
