What's New? New Help and Website

EventPro Planner's User Manual has been completely overhauled to provide you with better access to the assistance you need. It still contains all of the step-by-step instructions, examples, screenshots and hyperlinked cross-references, as before, but you now have two options when accessing the manual: Online Help and Local Help.

Local Help, which was previously a PDF document, has been updated to CHM files. You will find that this new Help is easy to navigate and the screenshots are much clearer. Also, it has been enhanced with a Search feature and extensive point-and-click Index. If you frequently refer to certain topics, you can save them in your Favorites.
Online Help will take you to the new HTML Manual on our website. Now, you no longer need to print or save a large document every time the manual and program are upgraded. The most current edition of the manual is always right at your fingertips.

If you are in the latest version of EventPro Planner, go to the Help menu and select Use Online Help or Use Local Help. A check mark will appear next to your selection. Now select Help | Contents. The newly updated manual in your selected format will appear. If local help still appears as PDF, select Help | Download and Update Help to download the latest CHM Help files. Note that you will need rights to write to the folder to which the Help file is saved.

When you check out our new manual, you will notice how great our new website looks! Newly reorganized and redesigned, the EventPro Planner Website has been enhanced for your convenience. Use the new Search this Site box located on every page to find what you need. Log in to EventPro Planner Support from any page. Read up on all of the Optional Modules. Keep up-to-date with all of the latest News and watch for important news clips scrolling by in the News Highlights box. Feature in Focus: New Invoicing Options

If you have upgraded to EventPro Planner Version 2.0, you have probably noticed some major changes in the Finance area, especially when creating Invoices. In the previous version of EventPro Planner, you had two invoice options: Automatic and Manual. Now, you have so many more powerful and flexible options:

  • Third Party Billing: It is now easy to redirect event, attendee, exhibitor and other invoices to third parties by simply selecting the correct “Bill To” company and contact.
  • Percentage Invoicing: You can choose which items you want to include in the invoice, such as catering, registrations, accommodations, etc., and determine the percentage of the amount billed. For example, when billing for an event, you could charge 30% to one party and 70% to another, or venue rental to one party and all other expenses to another.
  • New Manual Invoice Options: You can still create manual invoices as before, but new manual invoice options combine the flexibility of a manual invoice with the convenience of an automatic invoice. You can now create a manual invoice with a single line item for a percentage of the total item charges, or with chargeable items appearing as separate line items.
  • Deposits:  Many event planners require deposits of customers before booking an event or accepting event registrations. The new deposit invoices can be deducted from automatic invoices, making it easy to keep track of deposit money.
  • Credits: You may need to credit a customer for items that were invoiced, but for which you will not receive payment. Use a new credit memo invoice to balance the customer’s financial record.
To learn how to use all of these different kinds of invoices, refer to Chapter 6: Finance in the EventPro Planner Manual. Refer to What's New above to learn about new Help options.
The Finance Module is a separate module available for purchase. If you want to read about its many great features, see the Finance Module page on our new website. For an online demo or quote, contact our Sales Department at Sales@EventPro-Planner.com or (306) 975-3737 (Press 1).
