What's New? On the Road with EventPro - 2009 MPI Conference

EventPro Software will have a booth on display at the Meeting Professionals International World Education Congress (MPI WEC) in Salt Lake City, Utah from July 11th to 14th, 2009. The conference will be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center and includes several knowledge sessions designed to enhance your business expertise.

Feature in Focus: Track Accommodations

If you arrange accommodations for attendees, you know that there can be hundreds of details you need to keep straight: When do attendees arrive? When do they leave? Which hotel should you book? What kind of rooms? How many rooms to block off? When do attendees check in and check out? Will attendees share accommodations? Well, now, you can keep all of this information organized with EventPro Planner’s Travel & Accommodation Module.

With the Travel & Accommodation Module, it’s easy to create a hotel booking for a single attendee or reserve an entire block of rooms for an event. If you assign an attendee to a reserved block of rooms, all of the pre-entered details are automatically filled in for that attendee’s booking. You can also direct the billing of the hotel charges as necessary – to the attendee, the attendee group or the event client.
EventPro Planner’s Travel & Accommodation Module is designed to help you save time with features such as Multi-Add and Multi-Edit. For example, if five attendees book the same kind of accommodations, you can select those attendees and record the accommodation arrangement just once. EventPro Planner will automatically add the same details to all of the selected attendees. If those attendees change or cancel their arrangements, instead of dealing with each record separately, you can quickly and easily multi-edit or multi-delete all of the relevant records.
EventPro Planner’s detailed and ready-to-use reports will help you keep track of which attendees are coming and going. Helpful Hint: Email Quick Fix

If for some reason, your EventPro Planner emails suddenly stop sending, a quick re-set of your email settings sometimes fixes the problem. Try this quick fix before contacting Support.

Open the program and select Email Settings from the File menu. In the Email Settings window, take note of your current settings. Now, go into each field below Email Method (Profile Name, Password, etc.) and delete what is entered in each. When you have blanked out the fields, select None as the Email Method and click Save.
Now, return to the File menu and select Email Settings again. In the Email Settings window, re-set all of the correct options for your Email and click Save. Hopefully, this has corrected the problem with your email. If you are still having problems, contact Support and explain that you already tried re-setting your email settings.

Did You Know? Wizards Make Tasks "Magically" Easy

Did You Know… that EventPro Planner Wizards are specially designed to make your job easy? For many important tasks, EventPro Planner’s Wizards guide you through the important steps of a process to ensure that all necessary information is captured. Wizards make EventPro Planner exceptionally user-friendly and minimize the learning curve, which is a great benefit for users with minimal computer experience or for new employees.

For example, EventPro’s New Event Wizard guides the user through booking a new event. You then have the option to run the Event Setup Wizard immediately after the New Event Wizard. The Event Setup Wizard is both comprehensive and flexible, so that you can enter as much or as little information as you need, including Budget, Venues, Suppliers, Functions, Detail Items, Attendee Types, Attendee Registrations, Accommodation Reservations, Travel Arrangements, Booths, Exhibitor Registrations, and Letter Templates. If you want to add every detail now, you can. If you’re in a hurry and just want to get the basic information in the system – no problem! Skip the steps you don’t need for now and add the information later.
You can activate the Event Setup Wizard in your Booking Calendar Preferences. For more information, consult the EventPro Planner User Manual at Chapter 4: Create an Event: Event Setup Wizard. Instructions about booking a new event are also contained in Chapter 4, under Create an Event.

Booking and setting up events are central tasks in your day-to-day use of EventPro Planner. Software Update: Version

To download the newest Software Update, log in to the EventPro Planner Support Website. Click on the Downloads tab and click on the EventPro Planner Install link.

Software Updates are only available to customers with a current Upgrade Protection Plan. If your Upgrade Protection Plan has lapsed, contact our Sales Department at Sales@EventPro-Planner.com or (306) 975-3737 (Press 1). They can provide you with information on how to reactivate your Upgrade Protection Plan so that you can continue to get the maximum advantage out of EventPro Planner Software.
