Feature in Focus: Track Travel Arrangements

If you look after travel arrangements for attendees, you know that there are many details you need to keep straight: Which travel agency will you use? When does the attendee arrive? When does he leave? What kind of transportation? Which carrier? First class or economy? Who pays for the trip? And those are just the details you need for one person, not to mention a whole event full of attendees! You can easily create an individual travel booking for a single attendee, or create a block reservation for the whole event. If you assign an attendee to a pre-made block reservation, all of the pre-entered details will be automatically entered for the attendee’s booking. You can direct the billing of the travel charges as necessary – to the attendee, the attendee group, or the event client.
To help you work at maximum efficiency, EventPro Planner’s Travel & Accommodation Module is designed with time-saving features like Multi-Add Detail and Multi-Edit. Helpful Hint: Cleaning House with EventPro Planner Purge

If your database is getting larger and larger by the day, it may be time to purge some stuff you don’t need anymore. EventPro Planner has several purge options contained under the Utilities menu. For example, you can purge data such as completed actions or the audit log, so that those items no longer take up space in your database.

For more information about utilities and how to use them, refer to Chapter 19: Utilities and Help in the EventPro Planner User Manual. Remember that any time you run utilities, you should create a complete backup of your data, in addition to the regular data backups you should already be running.

Did You Know? Reports Have the Info You Need

Did You Know... that EventPro Planner has over 100 professionally designed, built-in reports? With just a click, you can get all the detailed information you need – fast!

EventPro Planner’s reports cover all different areas of the program. For example, you can use the Event Reports to run an Event Itinerary, Event Overview or Event Summary. Under Financial Reports, you can print Budget vs Actual reports, Aged Invoices, Client Statements, and many more. If you manage Attendees and Exhibitors, you will have access to special reports such as Attendee or Event Exhibitor Confirmation, Attendee Itinerary, and Event Exhibitor Booth List. When you run the reports, you can usually choose different display options such as the date range, included items, and sorting order, and you can always choose to print, view on-screen, email, or save the report to several different formats (RTF, Excel, HTML, JPEG, PDF, etc.)
The many reports in EventPro Planner should cover all your reporting needs, but if you have more specific requirements, you can customize existing reports or create entirely new reports in EventPro’s built-in Report Designer. NOTE: Customizing and producing new reports requires previous experience with SQL scripts and report building.

To download the newest Software Update, log in to the EventPro Planner Support Website. Click on the Downloads tab and click on the EventPro Planner Install 2.2.2.505 link.

Remember, you can also choose to abstain from adding the latest new and enhanced features at this time and still receive an upgrade to the software which provides the most recent bug fixes only. To do this, click on the link appearing under Previous Version(s).
