EventPro Planner’s VirtualAssistant Suite is designed to simplify your work day with automated services that run in the background and take care of repetitive chores – so you have more time to concentrate on important business. 

The TaskAssistant scans EventPro Planner looking for Actions that are upcoming, started and overdue, and automatically sends notification emails to the designated user or user group.

The new VirtualAssistant Suite will be available in 2013, so watch for the formal release announcement.

Energized by the potential of the New Year, many of us are tempted to dive into ambitious resolutions that will Change Our Lives.  But you don’t want to strain yourself so early in the year – why not warm up with some small resolutions that you can definitely accomplish first?  Presenting…your EventPro Planner (Mini) Resolutions: Top 5 Tips for Working Smarter in 2013.


We at EventPro Planner want you to feel good about yourself!  So while everyone else is sweating in the gym or denying themselves a second slice of cake, here are five simple, manageable tasks you can achieve in EventPro Planner – maybe even all in one sitting. 


  • Back Up Your Data
    This is one of those things that everybody knows they should do…but don’t do. Do it today!  Go buy an external hard drive or online storage space or whatever method you prefer, and start a backup schedule.  When your computer crashes horribly, you can smugly assure friends and well-wishers that you have a solid backup (as opposed to lamenting that you were going to do a backup soon, honest!).

  • Find Your User ID
    Quick, what’s your EventPro Planner User ID? Yeah, that’s okay – some of us have to think hard about our own work phone number.  To find your User ID, just go into EventPro Planner Software and click Help > About.   You’ll want to mention this number any time you call or email us, since it helps us help you even faster. 

  • Sync Your Email
    In any of EventPro Planner’s Communications screens, you’ll see a “New From Email” button. If you have your email integrated with EventPro Planner, you can click that handy-dandy button to retrieve emails from your email client Inbox and save them as communications directly in EventPro Planner. So convenient! If you don’t have email set up in EventPro Planner, check with your system administrator.

  • Add Unnamed Guests
    If you know that an attendee is going to have guests, but you don’t know who they are yet, you don’t have to wait for names before you can start managing their registration. When you add guests to the attendee, simply select the “Unnamed Guests” option. The guests will be added as “Guest 1”, “Guest 2” and so on under the main attendee’s name.  Now you can register the guests, arrange their seating, etc., and add their real names later when you finally get the information from the main attendee.

  • Add a Function on the Fly
    On the run – no time for event setup?  You can create a function on the fly right from the Event Organization Calendar.  While adding a function to a location, as usual, click the New button in the Select Function dialog. You can now create a whole new function and add it to a registration package, without having to go back through Event Setup.


If you have done some of these things already, good for you!  If you’ve done them all – gold star!  You’re clearly an EventPro Planner Pro. You’ve earned that second slice of cake AND the right to break at least one other resolution this week.

Online Workshop Update: First Workshops Successful, Planning More 

In our last newsletter, we announced that we were providing a new service to clients with our Online Training Workshops.  We are pleased to report that we have now presented two of these workshops for EventPro Planner’s sister product, EventPro Software, and they have been a great success. We plan to present more workshops in 2013, including sessions for EventPro Planner, and that’s where we need to hear from you.


Our first two EventPro workshops covered the topics “New User Orientation & Refresher” and “Getting the Most Out of Reporting”, which our clients were very interested in learning about.
